1. The service
Gapis observes public DNS, TLS, redirect, status, and HTTP security-header configuration for hostnames you submit. It provides technical evidence, deterministic findings, change history, and notifications. Gapis is not a certificate authority, certificate renewal service, penetration test, vulnerability scanner, uptime guarantee, incident-response provider, or substitute for your own operational judgment.
2. Accounts and authority
You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected compromise. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may submit only hostnames you own, operate, administer, or are otherwise authorized to monitor. You must have legal capacity to enter these terms.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use Gapis to:
- monitor a system without authorization or violate law, contract, privacy, or intellectual-property rights;
- circumvent target validation, port restrictions, rate limits, authentication, plan limits, or security controls;
- probe private networks, use the service as a relay, disrupt a target, or attempt to obtain response content or secrets;
- reverse engineer the service except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
- interfere with other customers or the integrity and availability of Gapis.
We may block a target, request evidence of authority, rate-limit activity, or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to protect systems, users, or the service.
4. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Free and paid-plan limits, scan intervals, retention, and prices are shown on the pricing page. Paid checkout is currently disabled; subscription terms apply only after the billing page marks checkout as active. Paid subscriptions renew monthly or annually until canceled. Taxes may be added where required. The payment provider shows the final amount before purchase.
You may manage or cancel a paid subscription from the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless law requires otherwise. Except where required by law or explicitly stated at purchase, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change plan terms or pricing prospectively with reasonable notice; changes do not alter a period already paid.
5. Your data and monitored systems
You retain rights in the hostnames and configuration data you provide. You grant Gapis the limited right to resolve, connect to, observe, store, process, compare, and notify on public endpoint metadata as needed to provide and secure the service. You are responsible for the lawfulness of submitted targets and instructions.
Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy notice. You can export and delete account data through account settings, subject to limited security, billing, fraud-prevention, backup, and legal retention.
6. Intellectual property
Gapis and its software, design, documentation, and branding are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the hosted service during an active account; they do not transfer ownership.
7. Availability, changes, and beta features
We aim to operate Gapis reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, a particular scan completion time, or detection of every misconfiguration. Public networks, DNS, target behavior, rate limits, and third-party providers can affect results. We may maintain, modify, or discontinue features; material reductions to a paid plan will receive reasonable notice when practical.
8. Findings and operator responsibility
Findings and remediation are technical guidance based on externally observed metadata. Validate changes in the context of your architecture before applying them. You remain responsible for certificates, DNS, proxy configuration, security controls, backups, monitoring coverage, and incident response.
9. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, Gapis is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that every drift event, outage, expiry, or security issue will be detected or reported before impact.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Gapis is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity. Aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the fees you paid to Gapis in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be limited.
11. Indemnity
Where permitted by law, you will indemnify Gapis against third-party claims arising from your unauthorized monitoring, unlawful instructions, violation of these terms, or misuse of the service.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Gapis and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security risk, abuse, legal requirement, or prolonged service discontinuation. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to correct a breach. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Governing terms
Any paid order will identify the contracting operator, address, governing law, and forum before purchase; paid checkout remains disabled until those details are published and the reviewed activation gate is deliberately enabled. Mandatory consumer and local-law protections continue to apply. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and referenced notices form the agreement for the service.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be dated here and communicated reasonably in advance when required. Continued use after an effective date constitutes acceptance, except where law requires explicit consent.
15. Contact
